During 1998 needlewomen from Kirkby Malzeard and District worked again with Rural Arts North Yorkshire to produce Banners for the Millennium. The Banners feature fourteen churches of all denominations from around the area, and will be used at church parades and services. The ones shown here illustrate The Methodist Chapel at Dallowgill and St. Andrews Church at Kirkby Malzeard.

Other community projects that people from Kirkby Malzeard have undertaken with the support of Rural Arts North Yorkshire are the Kirkby Malzeard Banner and the Crackpots Mosaic Trail.

Rural Arts North Yorkshire is an independent Arts Organisation and Charitable Trust which aims to encourage participation in the Arts by providing a programme of activities and information.
