Highside Playing Fields Association

In September 1975 the playing fields pavillion was formally opened after a lot of work and fundraising by many villagers. Ever since then the voluntary Highside Playing Fields Association has continued to provide good quality sporting facilities for local people and raises funds through subscription fees and by holding events. Football, cricket, tennis, bowls and quoits are all played here, and the village has a team for each sport. More details about the history and work of the HPFA would be appreciated.

PAVILION UPDATE

Anyone who has been to the playing field will have noticed the poor condition of the p[avilion . The committe are working hard to provide a new building that is affordable. Progress is finally being made and we hope plans will shortly be submitted for planning permission. We will then get quotes and apply for grants, That's the theory anyway!
