The Parish Council of Kirkby Malzeard, Laverton and Dallowgill consists of seven local people, all elected and completely unpaid, to serve the local community.

If you have a problem they might be able to help or they may be able to pass on your concerns to the relevant local authority. The Parish Council can help with footpaths, drains and sewerage, road issues, safety concerns and maintenance, vandalism, bus timetables, street lights, etc. Also they have a say on planning applications. The Parish Council maintains Lambert's Quarry, Laverton Quarry, the Pinfold, Greygarth Monument, Kirkby Malzeard Bus Shelter, Laverton Pump, Laverton Pinfold and various seats around the area.
