Welcome to our
community website, which is designed to bring internet support
to village life.
Kirkby Malzeard is a village in the lower Yorkshire Dales, in
the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (NAONB).
It has a population of about 800 people, with a further 200 or
so living in the nearby farming areas of Laverton and Dallowgill.
Although this is a small place it is certainly not a sleepy
village. We are very well served by three shops, two pubs, two
surgeries, garage, tea-room, school and pre-school and much
more.
Many of the activities and events are organised and enjoyed by
local people.
