Welcome to Kirkby Malzeard Pre-school!

Kirkby Malzeard pre-school opened in 1995 and is situated in the grounds of Kirkby Malzeard School, in a purpose-built secure building with an outside play area.

The pre-school offers a broad and balanced curriculum which is tailored to meet the needs of individual children and provides a secure and friendly environment in which children can learn through play. The pre-school aims to work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that the children's early experiences of education should be positive and appropriate to their individual needs, giving them the opportunity to develop to their full potential.

The interior of the pre-school is divided into areas, for example sand play, water play, dressing up, dough/clay, construction, painting, cosy book corner, activity table, pre-maths skills, computer activities. The activities are in use at every session, although the large range of equipment used is rotated continuously.

There is also a baby/toddler group in the pre-school building on Monday afternoons from 1.30p.m. to 3.15p.m., enabling the parents of young children to get together whilst their children play in a safe and stimulating environment. A small charge is made to cover consumables.

The fees for pre-school are charged per session, payable half-termly in advance. The current fee is £3.00 per session.

For further information about pre-school please contact the Play Leader on 01765 658080. We look forward to welcoming your child to pre-school.
